University of Évora - UEVORA Merit Award

UÉvora Merit Award

You will receive a one-off merit-based scholarship (a cash prize for top-performing students) at the University of Évora. This is funded by the Portuguese Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education. The Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES) will transfer the amount directly into your bank account. The DGES determines how many scholarships are awarded each year, so the number varies from year to year.

Who can apply

• University: You’re studying at the University of Évora in Portugal.
• Degree level: You are enrolled in a bachelor's (licenciatura), an integrated master's or a master's (2nd cycle) programme.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Grades: Based on your results from the past academic year, you have achieved top marks in your degree programme. This is the main criterion.

How to apply

You do not need to apply. The university automatically selects eligible students based on their results, and the DGES transfers the prize money to the winners by bank transfer.
