Eurocentres - Be different! Scholarship

General information

Life is not only about your career and choice of school. Exceptional personalities inspire their environment, whether on or off-campus. We launched this scholarship to support students who stand out of the crowd due to their personality, their personal background or their ambitions in life.

• You needed several tries to find your find your calling?
• You take the stand that the longer your study takes the more you learn?
• You grew up in the city but decided to study organic farming?
• You rode through Africa on a bicycle?
• You had to face many obstacles to get to where you are now?

We are looking for people from France who are breaking with established stereotypes and have achieved or experienced the unusual. If you count yourself among this group then apply now.

The scholarship

Supporting diversity is taken seriously by us. Scholarship recipients get a four-week language course at the Eurocentres language school in Vancouver, Canada. Each scholarship is worth 4,000 Euros. It covers 25 lessons/week, accommodation with a host family including half board, an allowance of 500 Euros, transfer to and from the airport in Vancouver and travel insurance. Eurocentres covers your flight costs to Vancouver for plane tickets up to 1,000 Euros. You can schedule your trip individually. The scholarship is redeemable by the 31.03.2016.

How to apply

• Complete the application form with your basic information (use the application form for this)
• Make a short video where you introduce yourself and explain what makes you an extraordinary personality OR write a short text about it.
• You can upload the video to any video portal (e. g. youtube). The link to the video has to be specified on the application form. The name of your video on the video portal should contain the word “Eurocentres”.
• Apply now by sending us the attached application form and a short curriculum vitae at personality-france ( AT ) european-funding-guide.eu
• Please send in the application form and your CV in English only and don't forget to sign your application. Other languages will not be accepted. Your level of English does not affect your chances of receiving the scholarship.

The video / text

Your video or your personal text allow us to get a personal impression of your person and should be in English language only. Please note that your level of English does not affect your chances of winning the scholarship. The video should not be longer than 1 minute. Authenticity is most important for the video - there is no need for professional editing or similar. The text should not be longer than 1,000 characters (incl. spaces). Please explain what makes you an extraordinary personality.

Selection process

• Applications can be submitted online until the 30th of April 2015
• Our jury selects five finalists until the 15th of May 2015
• A winner will be chosen through public vote. The public vote will be held from the 16th of May until the 1st of June 2015
