About this scholarship

DBA Scholarship at the University of Bradford

You will receive a reduction in tuition fees of about 3,450 EUR per year (£3,000) for the on-campus part of the degree programme, usually in the 1 and 2 years. This amounts to a total of up to approximately 6,900 EUR (£6,000). There are four of these general scholarships. In addition, there is a Women in Leadership Scholarship worth approximately 5,750 EUR per year (£5,000) over the same two years. The discount is deducted directly from your tuition fees; it is not paid out to you in cash. It applies to the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), a part-time doctoral programme at the University of Bradford’s School of Business for executives and professionals.

Who can apply

  • Programme: You will be starting the part-time ‘DBA’ programme at the University of Bradford in 2026/27.
  • Your background: You hold a bachelor’s and a master’s degree and have at least five years’ relevant management experience.
  • Enrolment: You have accepted your offer and enrolled within the specified deadline. Only new, enrolled students are counted.
  • Nationality: Open to applicants from all countries.
  • Women in Leadership: The £5,000 scholarship is open exclusively to women. The four general scholarships are open to everyone.
  • Other funding: As a rule, this cannot be combined with other scholarships, grants or fee waivers offered by Bradford.

How to apply

Applications are made online via a short form, which is linked on the scholarships page. The application period begins on 8 August and ends on 31 August. A university scholarship committee reviews all applications and selects the scholarship recipients. Only successful applicants will be notified of the outcome.

How realistic are your chances?

There are only five scholarships available, which are awarded to a narrowly defined group: individuals who are already enrolled on the DBA programme in Bradford, hold two university degrees and have five years’ management experience. This small, high-calibre pool of applicants ensures that the number of participants remains limited. If you clearly meet the entry requirements for the DBA programme and apply within the short window in August, your chances are good. Women can also apply for the additional, less competitive ‘Women in Leadership’ award.
