General Description

There are about £60,000 spent per year by the Royal Television Society it assist UK students who are studying full-time accredited degree courses whether it was in Broadcast Journalism or Television Production. The RTC presents 20 bursaries and each values £3,000 for any student who has place to study on a listed course at the guidance notes’ end. They are accredited whether by the Broadcast Journalism Training Council or the Creative Skillet. The bursary is for supporting life expenses and it will be paid on 3 installments where each values £1,000 in cash per year. The award provides also one-year full and free membership of the RTS after they graduate. It also offers a mentoring or placement in the final year. For applying, you will need to fill an application form on RTS website. The best 20 applicants will be awarded bursaries.

Requirements

Students whose household income below £25,000 per year can be eligible for the bursary. The bursary is for new higher education people who didn’t study any previous higher education. It is also for Home and full-time undergraduate students who will be starting in Autumn 2014,(international and EU students are not eligible for the bursary). Applicants must have accept offer as the firm choice would be whether Broadcast Journalism Training Council or Creative Skillet listed undergraduate programmes.
