General Description

The National Scholarship Programme is available for students who start their study at The University for the Creative Arts and is allocated on the basis of financial hardship for those with a household income of £25,000 or less. The scholarships do not have to be paid back and are each £2,000 in total comprising. The successful student will receive the payment in two ways, whether it is paid as a £2,000 cash bursary (non-repayable, paid in instalments); or as £2,000 towards accommodation for students living in UCA halls of residence. Students who receive an NSP award may also receive a UCA Bursary. Students who are progressing internally from an FE to a BA course may also receive an Internal Progression Bursary Loyalty Top-up.

Requirements

This programme is available to English domiciled, new full-time undergraduate students with declared annual household income of £25,000 or less. They must be receiving the full allocation of government support for university study for which they are eligible, i.e. the tuition fee loan and maintenance loan and grant for living costs, via Student Finance England. Please take note that priority will be given to people who have been in care (confirmation on the care leaver status required) and those with the lowest annual household incomes under £25,000.

Students should apply directly to UCA for the NSP awards. Students must consent to share their financial data when applying for the student finance in order for the university to be able to use the household income data supplied to the Student Loans Company.
