General Description

The Said Foundation offers 20 postgraduate scholarships annually to individuals who show potential to become leaders and innovators of change. The scholarship can be full or partial for master’s degrees at partner universities in the UK, including the University of Glasgow. The value of the award depends on the financial need of the student and whether other funding is available.

Requirements

Applicants should have a degree equivalent to a UK 2.1 Honors degree or higher. The candidate should be under 35 years of age at the beginning of the academic year. To qualify, they must be Jordanian, Lebanese, Syrian, or Palestinian - priority is given to residents of these countries. The candidate should show how their course of choice will be of use to their home country. And they should demonstrate leadership potential. In addition they should have an offer for a one-year taught masters, and they have to provide evidence that the language requirement is met. Applicants have to sign a binding undertaking to apply the skills gained in the studies in one of the foundation’s target countries. To be considered for this scholarship, the candidate must be on a taught postgraduate program.
