General Description

The Cockburn Rugby Scholarships have been created to support the medical students entering The Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College. Each scholarship is worth £1,000 per year over 3 years and is awarded at the end of each season (May). The aim of the scholarship is to attract players to select Imperial College London as their first choice Medical School.

The holder must be registered for the National Leagues, Imperial Medicals RFC (IMRFC) – coached from Keith Green and Kevan Bell during the three-year period. Players should be injury free at the start of each season, or shortly after, for the scholarship to proceed. Discretion is given to the selection panel to review players’ circumstances and their contribution to the club, subject to appropriate medical reports, together with a review of each completed season. The scholarship will be awarded to players who will make the largest contribution to IMRFC.
