General Description

Rotary International offers 100 scholarships for professionals that are interested in building peace in the world. There are 2 types of Scholarships: Master’s, for graduate studies at prestigious universities in fields related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention. The course lasts 15 to 24 months and requires an internship of 2-3 months in the period of recess. Diploma, for those with more experience in issues of peace. This is a three-month course on Peace and Conflict Resolution at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok (Thailand). Practices are carried out for 2 or 3 weeks within the same course. 50 scholarships of each type are awarded each year. These scholarships completely cover tuition and academic fees, accommodation and subsistence; round-trip ticket and expenses incurred during the internship or associated practices.

Requirements

Applicants can have any nationality and must demonstrate their commitment to the cause of peace and international understanding through humanitarian service activities as well as academic and professional achievement. Have at least a Bachelor’s degree, with an excellent academic record. Have 3 years of paid or voluntary work and English proficiency and also proficiency of another foreign language if applying to the Master’s scholarship.
