General Description
The Limerick FC Talented Footballer Scheme is offered by Galtee Fuels Group and Limerick FC and UL. The University offers this bursary to amateur association football players. The bursary is intended to assist the player in both educational and sporting development. This bursary is avaliable to to both male and female athletes. There are three levels associated with this bursary. First Team is the first level. This offers the student up to €2,000. The second level is A Championship and Ladies. It offers the student up to €1,000. The third level is the U20 Level for ladies and men. It is worth up to €500. This bursary also allows the athletes access to training facilities, physiotherapy, sport science support, and mentoring. The level the student attains is determined by specific performance standards. Awards are made annually.
Requirements
Applicants must be registered at the University of Limerick. Applicants must be amateur association football players. The students must meet specific performance standards to be eligible.
