The Jan Evangelista Purkyne University in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic offers its economically depressed students financial assistance in the form of a Social Scholarship. These scholarships are granted as a means of assisting low-income students with mitigating the costs of university study. Scholarships take the form of monthly financial stipends in the amount of 1620 CZK. Students can receive the stipend for every month in which they meet the requirements for the scholarship.
Applicants must be full-time students who have not exceeding the standard study period at the Jan Evangelista Purkyne University. These scholarships are only open to those students under 26 years of age. In order to be eligible, a student's family income must fall below the government-calculated coefficient of 1.5.
