General Description

The Government of the United Kingdom is offering 600 Chevening Scholarships in 118 countries for established or emerging leaders studying at universities across the UK in a wide range of fields including politics, government, business, the media, the environment, civil society, religion, and academia for a one year postgraduate Master degree. Chevening is a merit-based, open, national competition and makes awards to talented individuals who demonstrate the potential to become future leaders, decision-makers and opinion formers. Value: A monthly stipend up to EURO 1.480; Tuition fee up to EURO 15.160; round trip travel expenses; an arrival allowance; the cost of an entry clearance (visa) application; a grant for the cost of preparation of a thesis or dissertation (if required); an excess baggage allowance;. Length: 1 year.

Requirements

Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country at the time of applying for the award, and intend to return there at the end of the period of study; hold a degree that is equivalent to at least an upper second-class honours degree in the UK (some universities use NARIC to assess degree equivalency); demonstrate that you have achieved the minimum Chevening English language requirement.
