General Description

The Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin offers the Student Foundation Scholarship for highly qualified students and graduates interested in conducting research either at a Berlin-based institution or on topics related to Berlin or Germany. Recipients will be awarded a monthly grant of up to 1070 euro for a maximum of 12 months.

Requirements

This scholarship is open to students and graduates who have at least completed a Bachelor´s degree; candidates of all academic disciplines can be selected as long as their study and research projects are related to Berlin, although particular emphasis will be put on projects in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences. Selection will be made on the basis of the academic standing of applicants; the specific selection criteria will include the academic achievements of candidates, their specialized knowledge, the scholarly quality and feasibility of the projects submitted and the relevant language skills. Applicants must be citizens of the United States, the United Kingdom, France or one of the post-Soviet states. The upper age limit is set at 25 years old.
