University of the Azores (Ponta Delgada/Portugal) - Fulbright scholarships

General Description

Fulbright Scholarships are a worldwide program that is currently present in 144 countries and offers students the chance to study in the United States. The University of the Azores is a partner of this program and through this partnership, a better cultural and academic cooperation between Portugal and the US is pursued. Eligible students are granted a $25,000 yearly scholarship, with the possibility of another $6,000 for second-year Masters and Doctors and third-year Doctors.

Requirements

Students that wish to apply for a Fulbright scholarship need to have completed their degree when the submission is performed. For students that attended a 3-year undergraduate program, another year of their Master program must be completed, as well.

Eligible students must prove a perfect command of the English language with the aid of either TOEFL or IELTS certificates, passed with grades higher than 100 points, respectively 7 points.
