Centralforeningens Jubilæumsfond grant

You will receive a one-off grant of about 10,000 DKK (around 1,340 EUR) grant for further training in the hotel, catering and tourism sectors. The exact amount is determined individually for each applicant and paid out in one or, in some cases, two instalments. You can use it for a course, a seminar, a conference, a study visit or a training trip in Denmark or abroad. Previous recipients have used the grant for a culinary trip to Japan and a place on a course at a hotel management school in Switzerland. The grant is provided by Centralforeningen under HORESTA, the Danish trade association for the hotel, catering and tourism sectors.

Who can apply

• Your training: You have completed vocational training in the hotel and catering industry and hold a journeyman’s certificate (svendeprøve).
• What you want to do: You would like to undertake further training in the hotel, catering or tourism sector. This could take the form of a course, a study visit, a seminar or a conference.
• Membership: You are, or used to be, a member of Centralforeningen or one of its local associations. Widows and widowers of members may also apply.
• Financial need: You can describe your financial situation and explain why you need the money.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

Please complete the official HORESTA application form and submit it together with your training plan, a budget (if you are training abroad) and a witness’s countersignature. You can apply twice a year; the deadlines are 1 March and 1 September. The HORESTA Grants Committee (Legatudvalget) decides who receives a grant.
