About this scholarship

Grevegården's Scholarship

Recipients receive funding to study in Denmark. The foundation does not disclose either the amount of the grant or the duration of the funding. The scholarship is provided by ‘Grevegårdens Legat’, a small Danish charitable foundation based in Aarup on the island of Funen. It supports people with links to the Grevegården estate in Skalbjerg, as well as, in some cases, young people from the local school district.

Who can apply

  • Funded first: The foundation draws up a ranking of applicants. Priority is given to the founder’s descendants who are experiencing financial difficulties, as well as former employees of Grevegården.
  • Funded next: Children of the founder’s relatives and children of former employees who need financial support to fund their education.
  • Funded last: Young people from the Skalbjerg school district, but only if no one from the above-mentioned groups meets the criteria.
  • Where you study: You’re studying in Denmark.
  • Field of study: Any subject.
  • Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

The deadline is 15 February. There is no application form or official website. A law firm in Aarup runs the foundation, so you contact that firm directly.
