Grocer Albert Reimann-Hansen's Foundation scholarship

You get a one-off payment of 16,000 DKK (about 2,150 EUR) for your studies in Denmark. This is a single grant, not a monthly payment. The foundation hands out around 16 of these grants each year. The exact amount can change from year to year depending on the foundation's income. The money comes from Grocer Albert Reimann-Hansen's Foundation, a Danish private foundation set up in 1947 to help young theology and humanities students.

Who can apply

• Field of study: You are studying Theology or a subject in the humanities, with Danish, English, History or Christian Studies (kristendomskundskab) as your main subject.
• Where you study: You’re studying in Denmark.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Grades: Your academic performance will be taken into account in the decision.
• Studying abroad: If you are applying to study abroad, you must submit your application before the start of your stay.
• Regional link (bonus, not a requirement): Preference is given to students from South Jutland (Sønderjylland), but anyone studying the subjects listed may apply.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted online via the form on the Foundation’s website by 1 April each year. You must include a letter of motivation, a transcript of your grades and proof of your financial circumstances, such as your annual tax assessment. The Board meets once a year at the end of May and makes its decision based on the documents you have submitted. There is no interview, and the grant is paid out at the beginning of June.
