About this scholarship

What the scholarship gives you

You will receive a one-off grant of a variable amount towards training in agriculture, horticulture or forestry. You may also use this amount for a study trip or for studying or working abroad in one of these fields. The money comes from the interest earned on a charitable fund, so the exact amount varies from year to year. You can keep the amount as a grant or take it as an interest-free loan to be repaid later. The fund is managed by Gribskov Municipality in Denmark to help young farmers from the region with their training and entry into the profession.

Who can apply

  • Field: You are currently undertaking, or are planning to undertake, a vocational training programme in agriculture, horticulture or forestry, or you would like to set up your own farm or estate in the municipality of Gribskov.
  • Where you live: You have lived in Gribskov Municipality (formerly Ramløse-Annisse Municipality) for the 3 years before you apply. Applicants from Annisse parish get priority.
  • Who it is for: Only young men may apply.
  • Financial need: You cannot bear the costs on your own.
  • Nationality: Applicants of any nationality may apply, provided they meet the above-mentioned residence requirement.

How to apply

There is no application form. Please send a written application to Gribskov Local Authority, setting out your plans. Please enclose evidence of your qualifications, references and documents relating to your income and assets. The deadline is 1 July each year.
