Europarck Federation - Alfred Toepfer Natural Heritage Scholarships

General Description

The EUROPARC Federation, in cooperation with the Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S. (Hamburg) aims to aid young conserationists. Three scholarships in the amount of 3000 EUR are given each year. They are meant to fund a study visit to one or more protected areas abroad in Europe. The scholarship is paid in two installments: of 2000 EUR prior to the start of the journey on presentation of a detailed travel plan, and of 1000 EUR on presentation of a study visit report.

Requirements

Only European applicants below the age of 35 are eligible. The applicant needs to prepare a presentation that will show their professional and personal reasons for the study visit. Releveant contacts with the target area, as well as current employment status as staff (for candidates from Protected Areas) or have completed their intermediate diploma (for candidated from universities). Knowledge of English or study visit’s target’s local language is also required. The scholarship can’t be received in two successive years.
