Both Greek and foreign students and alumni are able to take part into on of many scholarships offered by The Aristotle University. Exact rules of qualification and allowance regarding scholarships are published in Scholarships Regulations document created by Aristotle University Senate. Rector's Council define number of open scholarships and the monthly grant fee each year, based on proposal created by Studies Committee. General rule is that scholarships for alumni are valued at 30% higher than their equivalents for students.
The requirement to submit an application are as follows: Excellent studying performance (based on the ratings by faculty or department) and family and personal income in the last financial year may not exceed 45,000 EUR per person. The applicant may not take part in other scholarship granted by another educational institution or funded by any public organisation. Final selection of applicants is done by the Studies Committee on the recommendation of the competent authorities in the faculties and departments.
