General Description
The universities in Bavaria support exceptionally qualified graduates according to the Bavarian Elite Support Act. This scholarship programme is being offered by the University of Augsburg. A stipend of 1.050,00 EUR is paid monthly. In addition, a family allowance of 154 EUR can be granted. The funding period is for two years. The scholarship may be extended on request for another year.
Requirements
The scholarship is aimed at PhD students at universities in Bavaria. Participation in a structured training programme for PhD students (Graduate School) is a prerequisite. Applicants should have demonstrated a particular aptitude for academic work. This should be expressed in above-average study and examination results. Candidates may at the time of start of the scholarship have not yet attained 30 years of age.
