UPSA-Banco Santander AFE-Grado scholarship

You get 1,200 EUR in total, paid as 200 EUR gross per month (about 180 EUR net) over six months, from 1 November to 30 April. In return you spend up to 10 hours a week helping with academic, research or administrative work in a faculty or service unit of the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (UPSA). This can mean radio production, IT support, lab work or research projects. So you gain practical experience while your studies stay your main focus. The money comes from UPSA together with Banco Santander as sponsor. There are up to 19 places, spread across the university's service units and faculties.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (Grado) at UPSA's Salamanca campus.
• Credits done: You have completed and passed at least 65 credits.
• Grades: Your grade average is 6.5 or higher, shown by your full academic transcript.
• Not a UPSA employee: You do not work for the university as teaching or administrative staff.
• Field of study: All Bachelor subjects can apply, since places are shared across faculties such as education, communication, computer science, psychology, health sciences and canon law.
• One application: You can apply only once, and you can hold this scholarship for at most two academic years in a row.

How to apply

First register on the Banco Santander scholarship platform. Then email UPSA your application: the application form for your chosen project, your transcript and a CV. For the 2026-27 round you can apply between 20 April and 6 May 2026. Tutors rank the applicants and decide who is selected for each project.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is limited to UPSA Bachelor students in Salamanca with at least 65 credits and a 6.5 average, so the eligible group is already small. There are only 19 places, each tied to a faculty project, and every tutor picks one student. Selection depends on matching a project's needs. If you clearly meet the credit and grade bar and fit a listed project, your prospects are reasonable.
