About this scholarship
What the scholarship gives you
You will receive a full scholarship for a one-year Master’s programme at the College of Europe. You will study either at the Bruges campus (Belgium) or at the Natolin campus near Warsaw (Poland). The scholarship fully covers your tuition fees, as well as your accommodation, meals and travel expenses. You do not need to pay anything: your tuition fees and living costs for the year will be covered for you. The College of Europe funds the scholarships for the academic year 2027/2028.
Who can apply
- Where you're from: You are a national of a country covered by the EU’s European Neighbourhood Policy. To the east: the three states of the South Caucasus, Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine. In the south: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Syria and Tunisia.
- Your degree: You hold a university degree. A Master’s degree (under the Bologna system or an equivalent older qualification) is acceptable, as is a degree comprising at least 240 ECTS credits. A very good Bachelor’s degree may also be sufficient if your academic performance clearly aligns with the degree programme for which you are applying.
- Subject area: You apply to one of the College's master's programmes: European economics, law, politics and governance, EU international relations and diplomacy, or interdisciplinary European studies.
- Languages: You meet the college’s requirements regarding English and/or French.
- Grades: The scholarships are awarded to the best applicants, so your academic achievements play an important role.
How to apply
You must register and complete the online application form for the Master’s programme. This includes a personal statement of at least 300 words, as well as two reference forms, which the system will send to the lecturers you have selected. On the form, select the selection board for your country or ‘No selection board – College of Europe’ if there isn’t one. You do not need a separate scholarship application letter. Once the application deadline has passed, the programmes will shortlist applicants and invite them to an interview. Scholarship decisions will be made as soon as all interviews have been completed. Your referees must submit their references by 20 January 2027 at 23:59.
