About this scholarship

University of Jaén MBA Scholarships

You will receive a 4,000 EUR cash grant as a grant towards the costs of international travel, accommodation and living expenses. In addition, you will receive a full tuition waiver, which covers all 60 ECTS credits on your Master’s programme, including administrative fees. The funding is valid for one academic year (12 months). In the 2024 round, 16 of these scholarships were available. The funding is provided by the University of Jaén in Spain in collaboration with the Ibero-American University Association for Postgraduate Studies (AUIP). You may use the scholarship for any official Master’s programme at the University of Jaén, including the MBA in Business Administration.

Who can apply

  • Degree: You hold a degree that qualifies you for admission to a Master’s programme in your country, preferably in a subject area related to your chosen Master’s programme.
  • Who you are: You are a graduate, professor or researcher linked to a Latin American higher education institution that is a member of the AUIP.
  • Where you study: You are enrolling on an official Master’s degree programme at the University of Jaén in Spain.
  • Residence: You are legally resident in a Latin American country, not in Spain.
  • Grades: Your average mark is over 7 out of 10.
  • No double funding: You are not receiving any other grant for the same purpose and have not previously received this grant.
  • For the MBA specifically: You have a basic knowledge of accountancy and finance, as well as a command of Spanish at level B2 and English at level B1.

How to apply

Online applications must be submitted via the AUIP application system by 22 April (in the 2024 procedure, by 23:59 Madrid time). You may list up to three Master’s programmes in order of preference. You must also enrol in advance via the Andalusian University District (Distrito Único Andaluz). A committee comprising two representatives from the University of Jaén and two representatives from the AUIP will select the successful applicants. The results will be announced approximately five to six weeks after the application deadline.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is awarded on a highly selective basis. You must be affiliated with an AUIP member institution in Latin America, achieve more than 7 out of 10 points, and transfer to a specific Spanish university. As a result, the pool of applicants is smaller than for open scholarships. If you clearly meet these conditions, have good grades and can provide a recommendation from your home university, your prospects are good. For the MBA programme, it is also an advantage if you already have the required proficiency in Spanish and English.
