About this scholarship

Lewisham and London Fee Waiver

You get a partial fee waiver, meaning part of your tuition fees at Goldsmiths, University of London is cancelled and you do not pay it. It helps most if you cannot get a student loan to cover your fees for every year of your course. Up to five students are chosen for the 2026/27 academic year. Goldsmiths is a public university in south-east London that runs this award for local undergraduate students.

Who can apply

  • Degree level: You are starting your first undergraduate degree. Current students cannot apply.
  • Offer: You hold an offer to study a full undergraduate degree at Goldsmiths for 2026/27.
  • Study mode: Your course is taught in person, not online.
  • Fee status: You qualify for Home fees, the lower tuition rate for students settled in the UK.
  • Where you live: You live in a London borough. Some waivers are reserved for residents of the London Borough of Lewisham.
  • Priority 1: You are chosen first if you cannot get a tuition fee loan for all years of your course.
  • Priority 2: You come next if your household income is under 40,000 GBP per year.

How to apply

You apply through an online form on the programme page. Applications open on 17 June 2026 and close on 17 August 2026 at midnight. A coordinator first checks who meets the criteria, then a panel picks the winners and reserve candidates.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is narrow: only up to five waivers, only for new undergraduates who live in a London borough and hold a Goldsmiths offer, with reserved spots for Lewisham residents. That keeps the applicant pool small. If you clearly fit the criteria, and especially if you cannot get a loan for all your years or your household earns under 40,000 GBP, your prospects are good. Apply as soon as the form opens.
