About this scholarship
MBA Excellence Scholarship at Nottingham Business School
You get up to 50% off your tuition fees. The Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) at Nottingham Trent University costs £25,000 for the 2026/2027 intakes, so the scholarship is worth up to about 14,500 EUR (£12,500). You do not receive cash. The discount is applied directly to your fees before you enrol. For the part-time course it is spread across your study years. Nottingham Business School awards it to applicants who show ambition, leadership and a drive to make a positive social impact.
Who can apply
- Course: You have an offer to study the Global Executive MBA (GEMBA), starting either September 2026 or January 2027.
- Offer first: You can only apply once you have been accepted onto the course and received your NTU student ID number.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply, from the UK or abroad.
- No outside sponsor: You cannot apply if a government, professional body, charity or other organisation is already paying your tuition fees.
- Not already at NTU: Current NTU students cannot apply, unless you are moving onto a new postgraduate course.
- No double funding: You cannot combine it with other NTU fee reductions, except a sport scholarship or the 20% alumni discount. Even then the combined discount cannot pass 50% of your first-year fees.
How to apply
Once you have your NTU ID, fill in an online form and write a short case around one of three NTU themes: creating opportunity, valuing ideas, or sustainability and enriching society. The deadline is 5 August 2026 (16:00 BST) for the September 2026 intake and 7 October 2026 (16:00 BST) for the January 2027 intake. A committee decides on your written application alone. You hear back within four weeks of the deadline.
How realistic are your chances?
This award is tied to one programme, so only GEMBA applicants compete and the field stays small. It is still selective and rewards the strongest written cases. Your prospects improve if you clearly show leadership and impact and back your chosen theme with concrete examples. Applying early helps, since places are limited and the final deadline is firm.
