Movilidad Global (Universidad de Alicante)

You get a mobility grant (money to help fund studying abroad) for one term or semester of your bachelor's degree at a partner university anywhere in the world, outside the Erasmus+ area. Your credits count towards your UA degree. Everyone who finishes the exchange gets a one-off 250 EUR at the end. If you held a national Beca general (the Spanish Ministry's needs-based grant) the year before, you get an extra 200 EUR per month abroad, for up to 5 months. On top of that, 23 students who win a place in the first application round can receive a Santander No Erasmus grant of 1,500 EUR. You pay no tuition at the host university, but you keep paying your normal UA fees. UA's International Relations Service (SRI) runs the programme.

Who can apply

• University: You are enrolled at the University of Alicante in a bachelor's degree (Grado) that offers mobility places.
• Credits passed: You have already passed at least 60 ECTS of your degree when you apply.
• Course load abroad: You will take at least 12 ECTS per semester at the host university.
• Languages: You have the language level your chosen destination requires, proven through UA's internal language check. Some host universities also ask for their own tests (such as TOEFL, IELTS or DELF).
• Field of study: Any bachelor's programme that has partner places on offer.
• Grades: Selection scores your academic record plus your language skills, so strong marks help. First-time participants get a bonus in the ranking.

How to apply

You apply online through UACloud (Programas de Movilidad > UMove) and list up to 15 destination universities in order of preference. The first round runs from 12 to 27 November 2025. A second round from 5 to 18 March 2026 covers only places left unfilled. A committee ranks applicants by academic record and language level.

How realistic are your chances?

This is open only to Alicante bachelor students, and places go to specific partner universities with set language requirements. So the field is smaller than for an open scholarship. Because ranking rests mainly on your grades and language level, a strong record and the right language give you real prospects. Applying in the first round matters, since the second only fills leftover places and the Santander top-up goes to first-round winners.
