What UniTrento gives you

You get a yearly scholarship plus full exemption from tuition fees at the University of Trento in Italy. The amount is 8,500 EUR per year if you are a woman enrolled in a STEM subject (science, technology, engineering or mathematics), and 7,200 EUR per year for all other programmes. You pay no tuition fees at all while you hold the scholarship. The University of Trento funds this award for students from outside Europe.

Who can apply

• Nationality: You are a citizen of a country outside the EU.
• Where you live: You live outside Italy when you apply.
• Degree level: You are applying for a Bachelor's or Master's programme at UniTrento.
• Field of study: Many subjects taught in English qualify, including computer science, engineering, economics and management, physics, mathematics, cognitive science and international studies. The higher 8,500 EUR rate applies only to women in a STEM subject.
• Grades: You are selected on your academic results. Research experience helps.
• Language: For an English-taught programme you may need to prove your English level with a test such as IELTS or TOEFL, depending on the course.

How to apply

You apply through UniTrento's online admission portal at the same time as you apply for your degree. Choose your programme, upload your documents, and a selection committee assesses you. There is no single fixed deadline. The closing date depends on the programme and admission round, so check the date for your course and apply early.

How realistic are your chances?

The scholarship is limited to non-EU students living abroad, and the number of places is capped. The pool is therefore narrower than for open scholarships, but still international. Because the award is tied to admission and decided on academic merit, a strong record and a clear application matter most. Applying in an early admission round improves your odds while places remain.
