About this scholarship

ExxonMobil (Teagle Foundation) scholarship

You get up to about 9,200 EUR per year (up to 10,000 USD) towards a bachelor's degree at a college in the United States. You can renew the award for up to four years of undergraduate study, as long as you keep up your grades and stay enrolled. It is funded by the Teagle Foundation, an independent charity in New York City set up with ExxonMobil support. Each year the foundation runs a competitive round with more than a hundred awards and a total budget of over 460,000 EUR (500,000 USD).

Who can apply

  • Family link: You are the child of a current or retired ExxonMobil employee. If a parent's job ended shortly before the deadline, you may still qualify in some cases.
  • Study plan: You are starting a bachelor's degree at a college in the United States.
  • Financial need: You can show that you need financial help to pay for your studies.
  • Grades: Strong results help, because selection is competitive. To renew the award, you also need to keep your grades up.
  • Field of study: Open to all subjects.

How to apply

The programme is run by International Scholarship and Tuition Services (ISTS). If your parent is an active employee, you get the application through the ExxonMobil HR office. If your parent is retired, you get it through ExxonMobil's Human Resources center in Houston. The deadline for the 2026-27 round is 11 December 2025.

How realistic are your chances?

Only children of ExxonMobil employees and retirees can apply, so the field is limited from the start. With over a hundred awards each year and a large total budget, a well-matched applicant who shows clear financial need and solid grades has good prospects. Apply on time, since selection is competitive.
