About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a one-off discount on your tuition fees for a one-year Master’s programme (MSc) at the University of Glasgow’s main campus in Scotland. The amount of the discount depends on your undergraduate degree mark:

  • First-class honours BEng or BSc: S$7,000 (about 4,900 EUR)
  • BEng or BSc with an upper second-class honours degree: S$5,000 (about 3,500 EUR)

The University of Glasgow and the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) award the prize jointly. It is aimed at graduates of their joint undergraduate programmes who go on to undertake a Master’s degree in Glasgow.

Eligibility

  • Your bachelor's degree: You hold a BEng or BSc degree from a bachelor’s degree programme at the University of Glasgow offered in collaboration with SIT in Singapore.
  • Your grade: You have completed your degree with ‘first-class honours’ or ‘upper second-class honours’.
  • Your next degree: You are starting a one-year MSc in the College of Science & Engineering at Glasgow's home campus in the UK, for example in Computing Science, Data Science or an engineering master's.
  • Field of study: Only the Master’s degree programmes in the natural sciences and engineering listed by the university are taken into account. Other disciplines are not considered.
  • Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are welcome to apply, provided they meet the above requirements regarding qualifications and course of study.

How to apply

There is no separate application form. If you are an eligible SIT graduate and are applying for one of the eligible MSc programmes, the scholarship will be awarded automatically. There is no deadline beyond the standard application period for your chosen Master’s programme.
