Uppsala University Bachelor's tuition fee scholarship

You get your full tuition fee covered for an international Bachelor's programme at Uppsala University in Sweden. Living costs are not included, so you pay your own rent and daily expenses. The award on offer is the Anders Wall Scholarship, funded by the Beijer Foundation and the university. Only a very small number are handed out each year.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are admitted to an international Bachelor's programme at Uppsala University.
• Nationality: You are a citizen of a country in Africa.
• Tuition status: You pay tuition fees. This applies to students from outside the EU/EEA.
• First choice: You rank an Uppsala University programme as your first priority at universityadmissions.se.
• Grades: You have strong academic results. Selection is based on merit, not on financial need.
• Deadlines: You apply to the programme on time and meet all its entry requirements.

How to apply

First apply for a Bachelor's programme at universityadmissions.se and list Uppsala as your first choice. You then receive an eight-digit application number. During the scholarship window, fill in the online scholarship form with that number and a motivational letter of up to 350 words. There is no application fee. The 2026 round is closed. The next round opens in early 2027 for studies from autumn 2027.

How realistic are your chances?

This award is narrowly targeted: only African citizens who pay tuition and are admitted to an Uppsala Bachelor's programme can apply, and very few scholarships are given out. That keeps the field smaller than for open scholarships, but competition is real because the award covers the entire tuition. Strong grades and a focused motivational letter decide it, so make both count and apply on time.
