About this scholarship

What you get

You get a yearly discount on your tuition fees at the University of Glasgow in Scotland. It is worth about 8,100 EUR per year (£7,000) if you study in the College of Arts or the College of Social Sciences. It is worth about 11,600 EUR per year (£10,000) if you study in the College of Science and Engineering or the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences. The discount comes off your tuition each year and renews for every year of your degree, as long as your academic progress stays satisfactory. It reduces your fees rather than paying you cash. You cannot combine it with another Glasgow scholarship or outside sponsorship, apart from an alumni discount.

Who can apply

  • Degree level: You are starting a bachelor's programme at the University of Glasgow in 2026.
  • Field of study: Most subjects qualify, from engineering, sciences and law to arts and business. Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine are not covered.
  • Fee status: You pay International or EU (non-UK) tuition fees. UK students cannot apply.
  • Nationality: Open to applicants from a long worldwide list of countries, including all EU countries and many in Africa, Asia, the Americas, Oceania and the Middle East.
  • Offer: You already hold an offer of a place for your 2026 programme.
  • Grades: Your results meet the A-Level or International Baccalaureate marks required for your programme. Most programmes need AAB or IB 36. Some (such as Law, Computing Science, MEng Engineering and the Business School) require higher grades like A*AA or AAA.

How to apply

There is no separate application form. If you hold an offer, the university checks you automatically against the grade criteria. If you qualify, they contact you within about two weeks of your offer.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not a contest for a few places. If you meet the grade threshold for your programme and pay non-UK fees from an eligible country, you get the discount automatically. So your real task is hitting the required A-Level or IB marks, which are high for some subjects. If your grades or predicted grades clearly meet the bar, your prospects are very good.
