About this scholarship
Nordic Radio Society (NRS) scholarship
You will receive a travel grant grant so that you can present your research findings at an international conference. The funding comes from the ‘Nordiska RadioSamfundet’ (NRS) Foundation, which works in collaboration with the Swedish National Committee for Radio Science under the auspices of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Its aim is to maintain research in the field of radio technology in the Nordic and Baltic countries at a world-leading level. The sources do not specify either a fixed amount or a duration.
Who can apply
- Degree level: You are a PhD student at a university or college, or you are writing a degree project in the radio field.
- Field of study: You work in the field of radio engineering, for example in the areas of radio communications, wave propagation, antennas or electromagnetics.
- Where you study: You are studying at a university in a Nordic or Baltic country.
- Financial need: The scholarship is aimed at PhD students who require financial support.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
How realistic are your chances?
This award is narrow: you need to work in radio technology as a PhD or degree-project student, and it mostly funds travel to present your research. That keeps the eligible group small, so a good fit in the right field and institution has solid prospects. It helps most if you tie your application to a specific conference where you will present your work.
