What you get

You get a one-off prize of 15,000 SEK (about 1,300 EUR) if you win. It is a single payment, not a monthly grant. The award comes from Karriärföretagen, a Swedish career platform that connects students and young professionals with employers and runs its own scholarships. This spring round names one winner, announced at the Karriärdagen event in October.

Who can apply

• Study level: You study at a university or a college (högskola) right now.
• Field of study: Any subject.
• Nationality: Any nationality, age or gender can apply.
• Financial need: None. There is no income limit or means test.
• Membership: You join the Karriärnätverket network, which is free.

How to apply

First sign up for free to the Karriärnätverket network, then apply through the online form on karriarforetagen.se. In the application you describe your future career plans, how you would use the money, and one achievement in your studies or work that you are proud of. A committee picks the winner. You can apply for this spring round from 1 April to 31 August.

How realistic are your chances?

Only one winner is chosen from a wide pool. The award is open to any student in any field with no nationality or need requirements, so many people qualify to enter. What sets applicants apart is the written pitch. A clear, specific account of your career plans and a concrete achievement matters more than your grades. Treat it as a well-written long shot rather than a sure bet.
