University of Oxford - A Physics Prize for the best BA laboratory project

What you get

The winner of the best BA laboratory project in Physics at the University of Oxford will receive a one-off cash prize of about 175 EUR (£150). The prize is awarded once a year by the University’s Department of Physics as part of the announcement of final grades in Physics. It recognises the laboratory project that you undertake in your third and final year of study, which takes up approximately a whole term.

Who can apply

• Course: You are studying physics (BA) at the University of Oxford.
• Year: You are in your third and final year of study and have submitted a laboratory assignment as part of your course.
• Nationality: Open to all nationalities.
• Result: Your laboratory project has been named the best of the year.

How to apply

No separate application is required. The prize will be awarded automatically on the basis of the BA laboratory project you have submitted. The winner will be selected once the final examinations in physics have been marked.

How realistic are your chances?

Each year, only one student is awarded this prize, selected from a single year group of BA students studying Physics at Oxford. This is a genuine honour for the top student in the year group and not something that can be planned for. As there is no application process, the only way to secure it is to produce an outstanding laboratory project. Please regard this as recognition of outstanding work rather than financial support that you can rely on.
