About this scholarship

Access Programme Scholarship at Goldsmiths

You will receive about 1,150 EUR (1,000 GBP) per year of study for the entire duration of your Bachelor’s degree at Goldsmiths, University of London. A standard three-year degree programme costs a total of around 3,450 EUR (3,000 GBP). The money is intended to cover living costs, books and other study-related expenses. Up to 15 scholarships are awarded each year. The scheme is aimed at students who are embarking on their first Bachelor’s degree following an ‘Access to Higher Education’ course – a college course that prepares adults without traditional qualifications for university study.

Who can apply

  • Your course now: You are currently attending a preparatory course for university admission, or you completed such a course in the last academic year.
  • Where you study: You have been offered a firm place on a Bachelor’s degree programme at Goldsmiths for 2026/27, which you have accepted via UCAS or MyGoldsmiths.
  • First degree: This is your first bachelor’s degree, not a second one.
  • In person: Classes take place on campus, not as part of an online distance-learning programme.
  • Fee status: You are eligible for home tuition fees. This means that you are a British national or have the appropriate residency status in the United Kingdom.
  • Field of study: Any topic is fine.
  • New student: You are not yet enrolled at Goldsmiths. Students who are already enrolled cannot apply.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted via the online form on the Goldsmiths scholarship page. The application period begins on 14 August 2026 and ends at midnight (GMT) on 16 October 2026. A panel will assess your academic achievements and your written responses, with both being given equal weighting. The focus will be on the content of your answers, not the quality of your writing style.

How realistic are your chances?

This funding is intended for a limited group of people only. You must have completed an Access course, hold a firm offer of admission from Goldsmiths, and have ‘Home fee’ status. Consequently, the target group is small, and only up to 15 places will be awarded. If you clearly meet these requirements, you should take particular care with your written answers, as these count just as much as your marks. Make sure you apply well in advance of the October deadline.
