About this scholarship

Benefit

With this scholarship, you received a small grant of up to £100 per year (about 10 EUR) to study for a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Exeter in the UK. You were able to renew it each year for the standard duration of your first degree, provided you achieved satisfactory academic results and funds were available. The University of Exeter offered it as one of its admission scholarships.

Eligibility

  • University: You had been offered a place on a Bachelor’s degree programme at the University of Exeter (Exeter or Penryn campus) via UCAS.
  • Family link: Her father was a Freemason from Devon; in other words, he was a member of a Masonic lodge and was living in Devon when he joined the lodge.
  • Your father's membership: He has paid his lodge dues and lived in Devon for 5 consecutive years in the two years prior to your application.
  • Where you live: You used to live in Devon or Cornwall.
  • Field of study: Any Bachelor’s degree subject.
  • Nationality: Any nationality could apply.

How to apply

You requested an application form from the Admissions Office and submitted it together with proof of residence and proof of your father’s Masonic membership. A panel then made a decision based on your application, your UCAS documents and your A-level results (or equivalent qualifications). In the most recent round, the application deadline was 21 September.
