About this scholarship
Benefit
As a student athlete at University of Lincoln, you will receive up to £1,000 per year (about 1,150 EUR). A quarter of this goes towards sports science support, meaning the direct financial contribution amounts to up to £750 per year (approximately 860 EUR). You’ll also receive sports science support, such as fitness tests, strength and endurance training, nutritional advice and lifestyle management. Furthermore, you’ll receive a free membership to the university sports centre’s gym, a mentor (someone who will support you in achieving your sporting and academic goals), as well as flexible study arrangements that can be adapted to suit your training and competitions. The university awards 10 of these scholarships per academic year.

How to apply
Please complete the application form for the sports scholarship programme and submit it by email. Please attach relevant evidence of your sporting achievements. A panel will assess the applications and then notify the successful applicants. The deadline for applications is 21 October.
How realistic are your chances?
Only 10 scholarships are awarded each year, and you must take part in competitions at national or international level. This keeps the pool of eligible athletes small, but the standard is high. If you already have a strong track record in competition and are studying full-time at Lincoln, your prospects are good. It is essential that you apply by the deadline in October and can provide clear evidence of your results.
