Alumni Discount at the University of Bradford

You will be eligible for a 10% discount on your tuition fees if you have already obtained a degree from the University of Bradford and are returning to undertake a further course of study. This is a direct reduction in tuition fees granted by the university itself. There is no limit on the number of students who can receive this discount. It applies regardless of whether you are enrolled as a full-time or part-time student, or on a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral programme.

Who can apply

• Former student: You have obtained a degree from the University of Bradford, regardless of when this took place. This also applies if you studied here as part of an exchange programme such as Erasmus, or if you obtained a bachelor’s degree from one of Bradford’s partner universities.
• New course at Bradford: You are starting a new course of study here, for example a Master’s or PhD programme following your Bachelor’s degree, a PhD following a Master’s programme involving lectures, or a second Bachelor’s or postgraduate qualification.
• Who pays: You are funding your studies yourself. If a sponsor is covering your tuition fees, you are not eligible to take part.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Nationality: Open to students from all countries.
• One award only: You may only claim one scholarship or discount at a time. If you are eligible for more than one, you will receive the one with the highest value.

How to apply

You do not need to submit an application. If you meet the eligibility criteria, the 10% discount will be automatically credited to your student account.

How realistic are your chances?

This is not an award that is granted on a competitive basis. There is no limit on the number of students who can receive it, and there is neither a selection process nor a ranking. If you are a Bradford University graduate returning to fund your own studies here, you will automatically receive the discount – so your chances are as good as your eligibility.
