About this scholarship
Quentin Skinner Bursary
You will receive a one-off payment of about 3,144 EUR for one year of research study in the humanities at University of Bristol. The funds come from a personal donation by the historian Quentin Skinner and will be paid out via the University’s Bristol Institute for Research in the Humanities and Arts (BIRTHA). The aim is to support doctoral students whose path into academia has not followed the usual linear course.
Who can apply
- Level: You are a postgraduate research assistant and are, for example, working on a research degree or a PhD.
- Field of study: You are studying a humanities subject at the Faculty of Humanities in Bristol.
- University: You’re studying at the University of Bristol.
- Background: Your path into research did not follow the traditional route via university.
- Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
How to apply
Applications are made via BIRTHA using the application form provided there. The deadline for the last known round was 1 May.
