University of Ulster - Evelyn Burges Scholarship in Drama

Benefit

As the top second-year drama student at Ulster University, you will receive a one-off payment of about 1,150 EUR (£1,000). This is awarded by the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. It is presented each year to the student who has achieved the highest overall marks in the compulsory modules of the drama programme in their second year.

Eligibility

• Course: You are studying ‘BA (Hons) Drama’ or ‘Drama’ as your main subject at Ulster University (Derry~Londonderry campus).
• Study mode: Both full-time and part-time students are eligible.
• Study year: You have completed your second year of study, as the award is based on that.
• Grades: You achieved the highest total mark of all students on the programme in the compulsory modules for Theatre in the second year.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How to apply

There is neither an application process nor an application deadline. The faculty selects the winner based on their marks in Theatre Studies in the second year of study and notifies the student concerned directly.

How realistic are your chances?

This is a single prize awarded to the best second-year student studying Theatre Studies; consequently, it is awarded only to the top student in the year group. It is not possible to apply for this award, and there is no way to improve your chances other than through your marks. If you aim for the highest marks in your theatre modules, you have a good chance of winning this award.
