Robert Holman Bursary

You will receive a one-off payment of about 1,725 EUR (£1,500) to support your one-year course in Accounting and Finance at the University of Greenwich. Two scholarships are awarded each year: one to a second-year student and one to a third-year student. The money is a donation from the Robert Holman Memorial Trust, named after an Economics graduate who later became a chartered accountant and partner at Ernst & Young. You can use it to focus fully on your studies or to pursue activities that will benefit your future career.

Who can apply

• University: You are currently studying for a bachelor’s degree at the University of Greenwich.
• Field of study: You are studying one of the degree programmes in the field of accounting and finance at the university.
• Study year: You’re just starting the second or third year of your bachelor’s degree.
• Study mode: You are studying on campus. Students at Greenwich Online are not eligible to apply.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.
• Where you live: Anyone can apply, but preference will be given to applicants from the London boroughs of Greenwich, Lewisham or Southwark who also live there.

How to apply

Applications are made via the University of Greenwich. The application deadline for the 2025/26 round was in November 2025. The start date for the application round for 2026/27 has not yet been announced. If your application is successful, you will attend the university’s annual sponsors’ reception and write a short report on how the scholarship has helped you.

How realistic are your chances?

This scholarship is highly selective: only students studying Accounting and Finance at the University of Greenwich who are entering their second or third year of study are eligible to apply, and only two scholarships are awarded each year. This means that the pool of eligible applicants is small. If you also live in Greenwich, Lewisham or Southwark, you will be given additional priority. If you meet these criteria, your chances are good – so be sure to apply as soon as the next application round opens.
