Kingston University alumni discount

At Kingston University, you will receive a 10% discount on your postgraduate tuition fees if you have already obtained a degree there. The discount applies to one-year Master’s programmes and to research programmes, including PhDs. It will automatically appear as a credit on your fee invoice. If you pay in instalments, the discount will be spread evenly across each instalment. Kingston University funds the discount itself to reward graduates who return to undertake further study.

Who can apply

• Previous degree: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree awarded by Kingston University or one of its predecessor institutions. If you studied at a partner university, the degree must have been awarded by Kingston University.
• New course: You are starting a full-time or part-time postgraduate programme. This includes research programmes, the MArch in Architecture, certain PGCE programmes and a second Master’s degree.
• Fee status: The programme is open to both domestic (British) and international students.
• Field of study: Open to all subjects.
• Not eligible: International graduates applying via an education agent; courses, further education courses, individual modules or module retakes invoiced by a partner institution; and extension fees for research degree programmes.

How to apply

No separate application is required. The University’s accounts department will usually apply the discount automatically on your behalf. When enrolling on your new course, please state that you have previously studied at Kingston and provide your Kingston student number. In some cases, you may be asked to provide proof of your previous qualification. This discount cannot be combined with other discounts for Kingston alumni, loyalty discounts or faculty discounts.

How realistic are your chances?

This is a fixed discount, not a merit-based scholarship. Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria will receive this discount; there is therefore no selection process. If you graduated from Kingston University and enrol on an eligible postgraduate programme, the discount will be applied automatically. Simply state on your application that you previously studied at Kingston University so that the accounts department can apply the discount.
