About this scholarship
Santander DPhil Scholarship for Spanish Studies
You will receive a full scholarship worth about EUR 23,000 per year for three years for a DPhil (PhD) programme at the University of Oxford. The funding covers your tuition fees and living costs whilst you study Spanish or Spanish-American literature or linguistics. The scholarship is funded by Santander Universities, the higher education arm of Santander Bank, and the Department of Medieval and Modern Languages at the University of Oxford awards one place each year.
Who can apply
- Degree: You are starting a full-time DPhil (PhD) programme at Oxford.
- Field of study: Their field of research is Spanish or Latin American literature or linguistics.
- Where you study: The University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
- Residence: You live in one of the countries listed below, including Spain, Portugal, the UK, the USA, Germany, several Latin American countries, China, Russia and Singapore.
- Grades: You have an excellent academic record. This is the main criterion.
- Timing: You are a new student for the coming academic year. You cannot apply if you have deferred admission.
How to apply
There is no separate application process. Your application will be considered automatically if you apply for an eligible DPhil programme and submit your postgraduate application form by the deadline for this funding, which was 9 March. Only successful applicants will be notified.
