FCT Portugal - BAGS UNDERGRADUATES

What you get

You will receive a monthly scholarship to work on a scientific research project whilst you are still completing your Bachelor’s degree in Portugal. The scholarship is valid for up to 24 months. The scholarship will only be renewed each year if your academic performance remains good. Funding is provided by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), Portugal’s national research funding agency. The focus is on practical training: you will be integrated into a real research team at an early stage and learn to work independently.

Who can apply

• Level: You are a Bachelor’s student and are still at an early stage of your degree.
• Prior study: You have completed at least three years of higher education (a full first cycle of study or equivalent qualification).
• Institution: You are enrolled at a public or private university.
• Where you study: They are carrying out the research in Portugal.
• Field of study: Any topic is fine.
• Grades: You’re doing well at school.
