About this scholarship
Dawes-Hicks Award
If you are undertaking a research degree in philosophy at University College London (UCL), you will receive a one-off grant of approximately 5,800 EUR (around £5,000). You may use the money towards your tuition fees or your living costs. This is a one-off payment for one year, not a full multi-year grant. The Department of Philosophy at UCL awards this grant on the basis of academic merit.
Who can apply
- Degree: You have been admitted to a philosophy research programme at UCL, either the two-year MPhil programme or the three-year PhD programme.
- Field of study: Philosophy only.
- Where you study: University College London in the UK.
- Nationality: Applicants of all nationalities are eligible to apply, provided they have been admitted to a research degree programme in Philosophy at UCL.
- Grades: You will need very good academic results, as selection is based on academic performance.
