About this scholarship

School of Management MSc scholarships at the University of Bath

You will receive a one-off reduction in your tuition fees. The scholarships range from about 5,800 EUR (5,000 GBP) to about 11,600 EUR (10,000 GBP), depending on which one you are awarded. This is a fee waiver, meaning that the university will deduct the amount directly from your tuition fee invoice. It is a one-off payment and applies only to the year in which you commence your Master’s programme. There are four scholarships: the ‘Master’s Worldwide Scholarship’ (5,000 GBP) and three scholarships, each worth 10,000 GBP: the ‘Scholarship for Academic Excellence’, the ‘Scholarship for Outstanding Individual’ and the ‘Access Master’s UK Scholarship’. The funding comes from the School of Management, which allocates up to 3 million GBP for scholarships on its Master’s programmes. No cash payment will be made, and you cannot renew the scholarship if you repeat or extend your studies.

Who can apply

  • Your course: You are starting a full-time MSc programme at the School of Management on campus, for example in the fields of Management, Finance, Marketing, Business Analytics or Human Resource Management. Online programmes and programmes starting in February are excluded.
  • Offer in hand: You have already been offered a place on one of these Master’s programmes.
  • Nationality: Most scholarships are open to applicants from all over the world. The ‘Access Master’s UK’ scholarship is aimed exclusively at students who have obtained their bachelor’s degree in the UK and are living in the UK at the time of application.
  • What is judged: Assessment is based on the personal statement in your scholarship application and the details provided in your university application.

How to apply

Once you have received your offer, please apply via the University of Bath’s ‘Application Tracker’ using the relevant scholarship form. The following deadlines apply for a September 2026 intake: 4 February 2026 (decision by 27 February) and 8 April 2026 (decision by 8 May). If you are applying for a scholarship worth more than 5,000 GBP, the University may invite you to an interview.

How realistic are your chances?

The scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis, and only a set number are available. The higher scholarships, worth 10,000 GBP, are limited to a handful of places per intake. The pool of applicants is smaller than for open scholarships, as you must already have been offered a place on a specific Master’s programme at Bath and must therefore compete on the strength of your personal statement alone. If you apply by the early deadline and write a specific, well-reasoned personal statement, you will improve your chances.
