About this scholarship

Benefit

You will receive a 1,000 GBP (about 1,176 EUR) discount on your tuition fees for one year at Nottingham Trent University in England. The grant is awarded by Nottingham Trent International College (NTIC), the on-campus preparatory college run by Kaplan. This is designed to reward students who complete their NTIC course with top marks and subsequently go on to study at the university. The amount does not apply to a placement year, i.e. a year spent working in a company as part of your degree programme.

Eligibility

  • Where you study: You are enrolled at Nottingham Trent International College and will subsequently transfer to a degree programme at Nottingham Trent University.
  • Course: All NTIC foundation courses are recognised, such as the Foundation Certificate, the International Year One or the Pre-Master’s/Graduate Diploma.
  • Grades: You have achieved at least 70% marks in your NTIC course, which corresponds to the ‘Distinction’ grade.
  • Fees: You are an international fee-paying student from a country outside the EU.
  • Field of study: Open to all disciplines.

How to apply

No separate application is required. You will receive the scholarship automatically if you achieve a ‘Distinction’ and enrol at Nottingham Trent University.

How realistic are your chances?

There is neither a competition nor a selection panel, so this award is one of the easier ones to achieve. Achieve a mark of 70% in your NTIC course, finish school and go to university – then you’ll receive it. Your marks are the only deciding factor, and these are entirely up to you. The biggest uncertainty is whether the scholarship is still available, as it is no longer listed on the school’s current website.
