What the Swarovski Scholarships give you

You will receive a one-off award of about 10,840 EUR (£7,149) for one year scholarship to help fund your final year of study on the Design course at Central Saint Martins in London. The funding is provided by the Swarovski Foundation in partnership with Central Saint Martins, which is part of the University of the Arts London (UAL). There are two versions of the programme: one for the BA (Hons) in Fashion Design and one for the BA (Hons) in Jewellery Design. Three scholarships are awarded annually for each degree programme. Former scholarship holders have gone on to launch their own brands or work for fashion houses such as Givenchy and YSL.

Who can apply

• Where you study: You are enrolled at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
• Your course: You are studying for a ‘BA (Hons) in Fashion Design’ or a ‘BA (Hons) in Jewellery Design’.
• Study phase: You are in the final year of your degree.
• Enrolment: You study full time.
• Nationality: Any nationality can apply.

How realistic are your chances?

This award has very strict eligibility criteria. Only final-year students on two specific design degree programmes at Central Saint Martins are eligible to apply, so the pool of eligible candidates is small. As three scholarships are awarded per degree programme, you will be competing exclusively with your fellow students on your year group within your degree programme. If you are an outstanding student in the final year of one of these programmes, you have a real chance of success, and a compelling design portfolio will make all the difference.
