University of Ulster - International Postgraduate Scholarships

What you get

You will receive a one-off tuition fee discount of approximately 2,350 EUR (£2,000) on the cost of a full-time Master’s programme at Ulster University in Northern Ireland. This is a fee reduction rather than cash; it therefore reduces your tuition fees but does not cover living costs. Ulster University offers this discount to international students who pay the international student tuition fee rate.

Who can apply

• Degree level: You have been awarded a Bachelor’s degree and have been offered a place on a full-time Master’s programme at Ulster University.
• Where you study: Your degree programme must be a full-time course at a campus in Northern Ireland: Belfast, Coleraine or Derry~Londonderry. Part-time programmes, e-learning and campuses in London, Birmingham or Manchester are not eligible.
• Fee status: You pay the tuition fees for international students and fund your studies yourself.
• Field of study: All participants are eligible to take part.
• Entry conditions: You meet the academic and language requirements set out in your offer of admission.
• No stacking: You may only claim one Ulster scholarship or one Ulster discount at a time; therefore, it is not possible to combine this with any other form of financial support.

How to apply

No separate application is required. All eligible students are automatically considered as soon as they apply for a place on a course, and the discount is confirmed in the offer letter. For the start of studies in September 2026, the application deadline for international students is 7 August 2026.

How realistic are your chances?

This discount is granted automatically and is not subject to any selection process; there is therefore no selection panel that you need to convince. If you have been offered a place on an eligible full-time Master’s programme at a campus in Northern Ireland and are paying international student tuition fees, the discount will be applied automatically. The only reason you might be excluded from receiving the discount is if you choose a part-time, e-learning or satellite campus programme. You should therefore check whether your programme meets the eligibility criteria before enrolling.
