About this scholarship

What you get

This article explains how students resident in the United Kingdom can fund a Master’s degree at the Centre for Cultural and Media Policy Studies at the University of Warwick. This is not a single, named scholarship with a fixed amount, but rather a range of funding options available to students from the United Kingdom. The main options are:

  • A loan from the UK Government for postgraduate study of up to approximately 11,800 euros (10,000 pounds).
  • Loans for professional development and career advancement, arranged through partner banks.
  • Central and department-specific scholarships and grants offered by the University of Warwick, which you must search for and apply for separately.

The centre focuses on cultural policy, the media, communication and the creative industries. It is funded by the British Government, partner banks and the University of Warwick.

Who can apply

  • Level: You are applying for a full-time Master’s programme (MA) at the Centre for Cultural and Media Policy.
  • Field of study: Cultural policy, media, communication or the creative industries. Examples include ‘Art, Business and Development’, ‘Creative and Media Enterprises’ or ‘Global Media and Communication’.
  • Where you study: University of Warwick in the UK.
  • Nationality: The postgraduate loan is available to nationals of the United Kingdom and the EU. The loans for professional development and career advancement, which are provided through partner banks, are intended exclusively for applicants from the United Kingdom.

How to apply

Apply via the University of Warwick for a place on a Master’s programme. You should then apply for funding separately: The government postgraduate loan is processed via the UK student finance system, whilst scholarships or grants from the University of Warwick can be applied for via the university’s scholarship search tool. The application deadline is 15 April.
